In New Zealand we have a tradition that when you turn 21 you get given a key. The key to your future.
I got given a giant wooden hand crafted SPOON. Yes you read that correctly. 🎠(where is the spoon icon?)
It was given to me as I have always been a bit of a stirrer… I like to think more of a push the status quo…you know not just believing what we are told. Aka standing up for myself.
Today I may push a few buttons…but I have a giant spoon so watch out lol 😂
Don’t expect instant success or celebrity status. Why?
Because you gotta do the work! And I don’t mean like literally as in build a programme, host a workshop. I am talking having to go on the business owner journey.
You know the one. The freaking up and down roller coaster!
The biggest skill you will learn and thought you had…is showing up everyday (even if you only have 1 hour) When you are full of doubt, fear and your eyes are bleeding from working so hard. The best thing to do is to take action. That’s right sister…One damn step at a time.
Understanding that success & abundance occur from daily habits, action which girlfriend includes journalling and mediation. Many women have gone before us and it is NORMAL to want to give up…To throw the towel in, to throw your toys out of the cot. But this dip as Seth Godin calls it is so important. It divides the commitment from the “I have a plan b if this shit doesn’t turn out”. If you have a plan b and you are not prepared to do what it takes for as long as it takes- Straight out of the mouth of Kat Loterzo…Then quit the dip and get a job.
Dedication to your vision, means getting back up when the daily grind breaks you down. You know what I am talking about. When no one responds to your post, crickets to your email, zero appearance to a webinar…This is normal and totally fucking OK! It doesn’t mean you are disaster and not deserving.
OK Okey I am getting off my soap box. But please do me a favour and stop chasing the skittle rainbow, the silver magic bullet. The chance of being discovered over night. Like Gary V (all time fav person) says…Some people hustle for 20 years until they make it big.
